How to use the Johari Window for Brand Positioning
Discover how uncovering your brand's blind spots can lead to massive commercial impact and stronger audience connection.

The Johari Window is a simple model from psychology. It sorts what is known about someone into four boxes: what you and others both see, what others see that you don't, what you know but haven't shared, and what nobody has discovered yet.
Brands have the same four boxes.
The Brand Core
This is the part of your brand that you and your customers already agree on. It's your foundation, and it's where paid media works hardest, because the message already lands.
The Blind Spot
This is what customers experience that you can't see from the inside: a confusing checkout, a slow page, a promise that doesn't match the product. Blind spots are where leads quietly leak away.
The Hidden Gems
These are the strengths you know about but have never told anyone: your process, your people, the story behind the work. Bringing them to the surface builds trust.
The Unknown
These are audiences and opportunities nobody has found yet. Testing and experimentation are the only way in.
